Associate Membership

Specifically recommended to those who are freshmen, sophomores, or who are new to AED.

Our chapter offers this option to all students that have yet to fulfill the requirements for full national membership, but still want to participate in AED sponsored events.

Requirements

No GPA or credit hour requirements

Must be a uark student interested in pre-med

$15/sem or $20/yr (temporary membership)

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you'd like to try the Associate Membership before applying for the National Membership, that is totally fine! We want you to know that all dues formerly paid as an Associate Member will be deducted from the cost of the National Membership when you decide you'd like to transition. For example, if you pay $20 total for one year as an Associate Member and apply for our National Membership the following year, $20 will be deducted from the cost of the National Membership (you'll only have to pay $65 instead of $85).

Notes

Those who apply for National Membership are automatically accepted as Associate Members as long as they meet the eligibility criteria. This is to allow National applicants to participate in events while waiting for National approval. There is no need to fill out both applications if you are new to AED and qualify for national status.
