AED President
Hello everyone! My name is Sadie Beeman, and I am excited to serve as your 2021-2022 Alpha Epsilon Delta President! I am a junior biology major and medical humanities minor from Lowell, Arkansas. Outside of AED, I am also involved on campus in research, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Razorback Food Recovery. I love reading a good book, camping, watching movies, or catching a softball game in my free time. Mia Alshami
AED Vice President
Hello everyone! My name is Mia Alshami and I will be serving as your Vice President for this upcoming year. I am a biochemistry and psychology double major. On campus, I am also involved int he Muslim Student's Association and I have loved coordinating events to make people aware of Islam at the University of Arkansas. I also have a passion for research, and I am involved in Dr. Beyzavi's research lab. In my free time, I love to go hiking and spend time with my family. Sara Armstrong

Hi all! My name is Sara Armstrong, and I’m so thrilled to be serving as your AED Secretary for 2021-2022. I am a Biochemistry major with minors in Spanish and Medical Humanities. I am an Honors College Fellow graduating in May of 2023, and I plan to take a gap year to travel before I begin medical school in the fall of 2024. In the future I want to be a pediatrician and continue doing medical research. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, spending time outside with friends and family, and bingeing Netflix. Hello! I am Ellie Magera, and I am your 2020-2021 AED Reporter. I am a sophomore Biology major from Kansas City, Missouri. Outside of AED, I am the Community Service assistant for Kappa Delta, Vice President of Women in Medicine, participate in Dr. Westerman‘s research lab, and attend Fellowship Church. Over the summer, I work as a counselor at Kanakuk K7 and participate in shadowing. I love to read, watch movies, play tennis, and attend concerts! A fun fact is that I have gone skydiving and can't wait to do it again. I have enjoyed shadowing a breast radiologist and find this a very intriguing option for my future. Hey everyone! My name is Suraj Kolluru and I get to serve as your 2021-2022 Treasurer! I am a junior biochemistry major with a minor in finance from Little Rock, Arkansas. Apart from AED, I research in Dr. Kumar’s research lab and apart of UA Student Success Center tutoring program as a biology and chemistry tutor. I enjoy going to any razorback sporting event, hiking, and watching movies. My future goals include being in an organization like Doctors with Borders, providing medical care to the underserved around world. Hi! My name Phoebe Bruffett and I’m a Junior here at the University of Arkansas. I am a biology and psychology double major in the honors college. I am involved in Dr. Beaulieu’s research lab and interested in learning techniques for extracting and sequencing DNA and inferring phylogenies from these data. I am currently assisting in the Lonicera maackii project. I am also a tutor at Do College Better. I hope to be a physician. I enjoy hot yoga, traveling with my family, and raising my two cats. I am so excited to be on the AED exec team and cannot wait for this upcoming year!

Hey guys! I am Alaina Baggett, and I am serving as your volunteer co-chair! I am a junior Biomedical Engineering major with minors in Biology and Math from Charleston, Arkansas. In my free time, I volunteer with Red Cross and would love to help you get involved! I also work as a PCA at a pediatric clinic and as a pharmacy technician. Hi everyone! My name is Bilal Momand and I am excited to serve as one of your Volunteer Co-Chairs for this year! I am a senior Biochemistry major with a minor in Classical Studies from Fort Smith, Arkansas. Along with AED, I serve as a member of the VAC as the logistics coordinator for Be BOLD, a mentor program for a local middle school. I am very passionate about helping undergraduates connect with volunteer opportunities both on and off campus. I am currently involved with the 7 Hills Homeless Center here in Fayetteville, an organization that I hold dearly in my heart. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Outside of AED, I am involved as a peer mentor for both Fulbright College Honors Program and Empower, part of the ASCAN psychology lab, and work at Washington Regional! Hey everyone, my name is Tyler Merreighn, and I’m excited to serve as one of your diversity co-chairs this year. I am currently a sophomore public health and biology major from Greenwood, Arkansas. As one of your diversity co-chairs, I will be responsible for coordinating and organizing events. Aside from AED, I currently work as a Nurse Assistant/Patient Safety Sitter at Washington Regional Medical Center, and I serve as the Chair of the Arkansas Union Advisory Committee and am the incoming Food Drives Coordinator for the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry on campus. In my free time, I love volunteering, traveling, and watching reality tv!
